Ocean Energy, Inc. designed new life boat stations for the covered life boats of the Zafiro Producer. The work required the design of steel foundations, the installation of the lifeboat davit systems, and the installation detail for installation both in the shipyard and offshore.

Ocean Energy provided concept design, engineering, and detailed manufacturing design of the three new lifeboat stations. We were also responsible for the development of staging area, lighting, and signage. The work included the following specific tasks:
  • Assessment and review of lifeboat loads
  • Evaluation of emergency exit routes 
  • Detail design of davit and winch foundations
  • Detail design of electrical requirements
  • Preparation of requisitions and vendor contacts
  • Interface with owner's safety personnel
