Ocean Energy, Inc. has designed all of the primary riser porch foundations for the Zafiro Producer. The work has required the design of steel foundations, installation rigging procedures and equipment, integration of the porch structure into the ship hull girder, and layout of supports, walkways, and handrails.

Ocean Energy has provided concept design, finite element engineering, detail manufacturing design of two porches and oversight on manufacturing. The work included the following specific tasks:

Assessment and review of riser
Evaluate and establish riser termination
Concept and detail design of porch connection
Establish riser installation procedure
Support shipyard and offshore installation of porch
Work with vendors during fabrication
Interface with process engineering contractors
Detailed finite element design of porch structures
Interfacing with American Bureau of Shipping
Concept design of installation hoist equipment
